Our workshops are aimed at young people aged 9 – 18 and are a mixture of free and paid events, although free places are available for those who would find it difficult to pay – find details here.

Autism Friendly Stop Motion Online

Monday 30th May
10am – 11am
Ages 9 – 18

Create your own animated short film using a range of art materials and animation software. Experiment with Lego, Claymation or paper cut-outs – whatever you’re interested in! Bring a story to life, cut out your characters and animate.

This workshop will take place via Zoom. A link will be sent out via zoom.

Stop Motion Animation

Monday 30th May
1pm – 4pm
Ages 7+
£25 (Free places are available)

Make miniature sets and characters using a range of artist materials such as modelling clay, paints and card. Then bring them to life using stop motion animation techniques – if you can imagine it, we’ll help you animate it!

Film in a Day

Tuesday 31st May
10am – 3pm
Ages 9+
£40 (Free places are available)
During this workshop you’ll learn about and use practical, professional film-making techniques and equipment with expert guidance from the Signals team. Experiment with lights, cameras and sound equipment to see what you can create. Working in teams, you’ll work against the clock to plan, act and shoot your original short film. Create your cinematic masterpiece!
