From script to screen, all in a day! You’ll learn about and use practical, professional film-making techniques and equipment with expert guidance. Experiment with lights, cameras and sound equipment to see what you can create. Working in teams, you’ll work against the clock to plan, act and shoot your original short film. Create your cinematic masterpiece!

In a relaxed atmosphere, our expert game tutors will help you to learn about and create your very own video game, using Scratch – the entry level game design software. Make simple 2D arcade games and share them online (via the scratch website) or pop your them onto your own USB to take home!

Historical Video Game Making at Jaywick Martello Tower
Thursday 14th April

Free
Create your own exciting 2D arcade games and share them online for others to play and enjoy using Scratch. You’ll also test an early prototype for a new interactive exhibit to be installed in the Jaywick Martello tower, helping to shape the final design to go on display later this year.
