Throughout March 2018 we will be hosting a series of events celebrating the richness of digital creativity from across the East Anglian region and showcasing the ways in which we can collaborate with digital art for social, learning and cultural outcomes. The three main strands of Plug In are:
Are you a creative digital artist? Do you use technology in creative ways? Signals is looking for digital creatives who want to develop their skills. Over four days in March, at our studio in Colchester, four artists will develop new ways of using digital art in creative and cultural learning environments. This is a paid opportunity.
Signals is a leader in creative digital learning, using digital arts collaboratively for learning, social and creative outcomes.
With the rise of artists using digital technology within their practice, there is a clear opportunity for artists to use these skills to work with cultural and education partners to embed technology within their programme and/or curriculum to create fun and engaging ways of raising attainment in a variety of topics.
Signals, in partnership with Colchester Arts Centre, Firstsite and The Mercury Theatre, has identified a clear demand for more creative digital practitioners in the North Essex area.

Explore new technologies and learn how to integrate digital creativity into learning programmes. This one day symposium will include talks from leading digital artists and educators, plus hands on demostrations of exciting new technologies. A FREE day of workshops, video games and live electronic music. Expect musical robots, live animation and even Roman Colchester in VR!
Watch Leafcutter John create music from light and chiptune artist [z]ki perform music from Gameboys. Play award winning video games from local developers and see digital art installations from local emerging artists.
