Talks and Masterclasses: Terry Rawlings
Terry Rawlings Academy Award and BAFTA nominated film editor talks about his career. Terry Rawlings credits include Blade Runner, Alien, Aliens 3, Chariots of Fire, Golden Eye, and The Phantom of the Opera. This is a rare opportunity to hear about an amazing career that spans over 30 years working in the UK and Hollywood.

Photoshop 1
An introduction to the basics of Adobe Photoshop; (software that enables you to manipulate digital pictures). Bring your own photos in on a memory stick and we’ll show you how to digitally enhance them. Use a range of techniques including simple airbrushing, inserting text and adjusting colours and light. This introductory course will help you make the most of your photos. Basic computer literacy is essential. If you have Photoshop loaded on your laptop bring it along for a discounted price.

Signals Teaching & Learning Network: Session 1 – Ideas for Using Media Across the Curriculum
This will be a relaxed but inspiring workshop session, a chance to network and exchange best practice as well as develop ideas about how to use media across all school subjects and enhance lessons. Caroline McGrail Head of Media at the Gilberd School will introduce the session. Caroline is experienced in cross-curriculum media working and will be sharing her experiences with the group. This is also the network launch event and members will have the opportunity to shape future events.
